Inessa Badladder - Slaterunner

On a roof overlooking them was a tall, athletic, imperious-looking woman. She strode casually, reached a gap between buildings, jumped calmly over it, and landed on her toes. She took hold of an antenna and swung around it.

I'm not 100% sold on this book yet - a lot of the writing makes me want to pound my head into a wall.
But it has its charming moments, like this description of the character Inessa. It captured my imagination, and this is what came out of it.

My first thoughts were of a very Zoë Washburne (Firefly) -esque look and way about her. That's why the flyaway curls.

I added details not mentioned in the book, such as a modified climbing harness & rope (as i am not actually familiar with climbing gear, and had no internet with me to get the details right, it's purposefully very different from the real thing), and invented toe-less, heel-less boots (think dancer, here), which would be practical for gripping rooftops with the feet.




I apologize for the quality - it's originally in light HB pencil, so it barely showed up on the scanner. B/W was the only way to make it stand out at all.
